2024-25 LEAF+ Report: Equitable & Inclusive Teaching

Thank you for engagement with the LEAF+ for Equitable & Inclusive Teaching cohort and for the work you have put into your LEAF+ project. We look forward to learning more about your project outcomes and also your reflections and insights that will inform our work going forward.

Note: We are creating a repository of project profiles to showcase initiatives that have been support by institutional teaching grants. Please be aware that responses to Section 1 (questions 1 – 8) will be adapted and shared on the OVPIUE website. We will send this to you for review prior to sharing broadly. Responses to Section 3 (questions 10 – 13) will be anonymized and consolidated into a brief executive summary of key learnings that can be shared with the broader U of T community.

Tip: Questions 3 and 5 reference the project overviews and/or outcomes that you initially submitted as part of your LEAF+ application. For your convenience, these are available on the Project Profiles page.

2024-25 LEAF+ Report Submission

  • Section 1: Project Overview

  • Provide a summary of the project that would be appropriate for a non-specialist audience. It is recommended that you adapt your initial project overview to draft your summary, making amendments as needed.
  • If applicable, provide the course code(s) and corresponding student enrolment number(s) engaged with your LEAF project.
  • Describe the main outcomes of the project. It is recommended that you adapt your initial project outcomes (if applicable) as you draft your response, making amendments as needed. If resources or tools have been developed, please list these at the end of your response, along with where the resource or tool can be found (e.g. webpage).
  • If the resource or tool you’ve developed is not hosted on a website and requires File Upload, please upload it here.

  • One of the requirements of LEAF+ is knowledge sharing of project outcomes, including tools and resources developed. Please describe the avenues you have leveraged or are pursuing to disseminate your project.

  • Include a copy of the project’s final expenditures, and use the space below to comment on the sufficiency of funds and/or indicate any significant alternations from the original budget submission.

  • How do you feel about the overall success and sustainability of your initiative? What factors did you consider for determining the success of your project? What measures are you considering to support the sustainability and on-going impact of your initiative?
  • What challenges or concerns did you encounter related to your advancing equitable and inclusive teaching project? As applicable, please share any unforeseen obstacles to the project’s completion and resulting modifications to the original project plan.
  • What advice would you give to other instructors who want to advance equitable and inclusive teaching projects? What resources or supports might you recommend to them?
