Divisional Teaching Award

  • Sustained Excellence in Teaching Award

    Recognizing a faculty member who has demonstrated excellence in teaching over the course of at least 15 years.

  • Faculty Teaching Award

    Evidence of outstanding performance in one or more of the above categories will be derived from a number of different sources including: Testimonial letters from students, alumni, fellow faculty members, or administrators; Results of teaching evaluations; Objective measures of student learning; A statement outlining the contributions made to teaching

  • FIFSW Teaching Award

    The Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work values excellence in teaching and contributions to its educational programs through curriculum development, innovation, and research on education.  A biannual award may be awarded to teaching faculty members, to recognize outstanding contributions to education through any combination of the following: 

  • Arts & Science Superior Teaching Awards (Sessional and Graduate)

    The Sessional Lecturer & Graduate Student Course Instructor Superior Teaching Award (STA) award is for sessional and graduate course instructors. The Faculty of Arts & Science Superior Teaching Awards recognize teaching excellence in undergraduate education, in classroom instruction, innovative teaching methods and student engagement by Sessional Lecturers and Graduate Student Course Instructors.

  • Arts & Science Outstanding Teaching Award

    The Faculty of Arts & Science Outstanding Teaching Award recognizes teaching excellence in undergraduate and graduate education with a focus on classroom instruction and course design and/or curriculum development.

  • Senior-Year Excellence in Clinical Instructing Award

    Excellence in clinical teaching as demonstrated by outstanding professionalism and role modelling.

  • Betty Burcher Mentoring Award

    The Mentoring Award recognizes an outstanding contribution to enhance both student and faculty experience beyond usual activities through mentoring, availability for questions and consultations, and collegial involvement in scholarly activities. This award is both peer- and student-nominated.

  • Excellence in Precepting: Graduate Award

    Excellence in precepting as demonstrated by outstanding professionalism and role modelling.

  • Excellence in Precepting: Undergraduate Award

    Excellence in precepting in NUR 461 or NUR 470 as demonstrated by outstanding professionalism and role modeling

  • Excellence in Educational Leadership

    The Excellence in Educational Leadership recognizes excellence in coordinating and/or implementing curriculum, courses, projects and/or programs. This award is peer-nominated.
