Divisional Teaching Award

The Faculty of Arts & Science Outstanding Teaching Award – Early Career recognizes teaching excellence in undergraduate and graduate education with a focus on classroom instruction and course design and/or curriculum development.

This award has been established for Part-time faculty & Contractually Limited Term Appointments (CLTAs) who have taught for at least two years at the time of their nomination for the award.

Student- Nominated Award. The Mewett Teaching Award will be given to one professor who exhibits excellence in teaching, as selected by the graduating class, at the post-Convocation ceremony. Nominations will customarily take place in early to mid-March, with voting by the graduating class taking place in mid- to late March.

This award has been established for Undergraduate Teaching Assistants (TAs) in CUPE 3902 Unit 1 who have served in a Teaching Assistant (TA) role at UTSC, including in at least one of the terms of the current academic year (Summer, Fall, Winter).

This award has been established for Graduate Teaching Assistants (TAs) in CUPE 3902 Unit 1 who have served in a Teaching Assistant (TA) role at UTSC in at least two different terms.

This award has been established for Sessional Instructional Assistants (SIAs) in CUPE 3902 Unit 3 who have served in a Sessional Instructional Assistant (SIA) role at UTSC in at least two different terms.

This award has been established for full-time Assistant Professors and Assistant Professors Teaching Stream who have taught for at least two years at the time of their nomination for the award.
